What does it mean when an organization states they provide "Support"?

Within business, workers are given one or two choices of an approved workstation. The worker is provided software and hardware support so that their workstations/laptops are patched.

Sharing process information

To start this off I will share some information about where we (IT at the University of Kansas) are in the process of adopting ITIL best practices.

We have implemented Change and Incident management

Currently working on Configuration Management and are interested in connecting with other universities who have implemented Configuration, especially if you are using Remedy.

Have created an online service catalog at www.ku.edu/technology/catalog.

More information about our ITIL implementation is at www.technology.ku.edu/~psmo/itil.

I am interested in hearing what processes other universities have adopted, and what challenges you encountered.
